Carp Baked in Wine

Serves 6

1 carp (about 2 1/2 lbs.)
2 cups white wine
1 pinch of herbs
(optional: parsley, thyme, garlic…)

Scale and gut carp if not cleaned already. You can fillet it or not; it hardly matters. Cut the carp in half the long way and lay it in a baking dish. Barely cover with white wine. Add herbs, if you like them, or garlic. Bake at 350°F for half an hour.
