Parmesan Herb Whitefish Fillets

1 lb whitefish (or pickerel) fillets, patted dry
1/4 cup light mayonnaise
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp green onions, chopped
1 tbsp red bell pepper, chopped
Cayenne pepper to taste
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 tsp dried basil
Pepper to taste

Place fish fillets in a single layer in bottom of greased 11 x 7 inch (2L) baking dish.
Set aside.

In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, cheese, onions, pepper and cayenne.
Spread mixture evenly over fish.

In a separate bowl, combine bread crumbs, basil and pepper, sprinkle over top of fish. Bake in preheated 400°F oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Serves 4.
